I am an artist working predominantly in printmaking, recently extending my practice into ceramics to pay homage to Portuguese azulejos for my body of work ‘In the Frame’.

An avid amateur photographer who captures a sense of place through form, texture and materiality. My photography becomes the starting point to multi-disciplined printmaking from intaglio to screen printing.

‘In the Frame’ looks at the gentrification of Lisbon as a result of tourism. Having lived and taught in the city for over a decade, I witnessed the evolving city, much of it beneficial to the infrastructure; but my work scratches away at the façade to reveal the deeper issues of gentrification and tourism on the local population.

After a vocation of teaching in the UK, Portugal and Singapore, I am now focusing on my creative practice. Currently completing postgraduate studies in Fine Art Printmaking at UWE, Bristol.

I am now based in Somerset and a member of Bath Artist Printmakers.
